As you may have heard, Proposition 123: Dedicate Revenue to Affordable Housing Programs, has officially passed. Proposition 123 dedicates 0.1% of state income tax revenue for affordable housing programs, including aid to develop more housing and assistance for certain renters and home buyers.
RMP will be working to monitor the implementation and impact of this proposition through its data infrastructure, including:
- Data from the Common Sense Institute around current and projected housing supply, and building permits needed to keep up with the demand
- Reference lines that indicate the impact on related data metrics
- Unintended consequences and opportunities for action
Dashboards will be updated in time for RMP’s State of the Partnership Event.
