On Tuesday, August 27th, the Adams County Board of County Commissioners referred Issue 1A to the ballot, which would implement a temporary countywide sales tax to support the development of affordable and middle-income housing.
Voting yes on Issue 1A will help:
- Address the housing deficit in Adams County by generating $22.2 million annually through a temporary countywide 0.15% sales tax (only 15 cents on a $100 expediture!)
- Create 6,000 housing units over the next 20 years
- Make housing more affordable, reducing economic instability and increasing access to stable housing for learners and workers in the region
