Engaging New Voters Through Nonpartisan Voter Registration

This year, we took a significant step toward deepening our civic engagement work by becoming an official voter registration drive through the Colorado Secretary of State’s office. This new role empowered us to connect with our community in fresh ways, offering support and education on the importance of civic participation.

So far, we’ve successfully registered 18 new voters—each with a unique story that reflects the impact of this initiative. One standout moment was when an 18-year-old student at Westminster Public Schools eagerly registered to vote. As they filled out the form, their excitement was contagious, knowing they would have a voice in such an important election for the very first time.

Another inspiring story came from a young person who had felt disenchanted by the current system, unsure how much their vote could truly matter. But after witnessing one of our Civic Influencers passionately advocate for civic engagement, they were moved to ask, “How can I get registered to vote?” That simple yet powerful question became a turning point, and now they are ready to make their voice heard.

These stories highlight the impact that voter engagement can have, especially when young people are at the forefront of the movement. We are proud to play a role in ensuring that every individual who wants to participate in the democratic process has the opportunity to do so.
