Volunteer Opportunity: Thornton Point in Time Count

The Thornton Homeless Outreach Team will be participating in the national count known as the Point in Time event. This one-day day event will be surveying people experiencing homelessness nationwide. Volunteers will be going throughout the City of Thornton on Tuesday, January 28th, providing immediate resources and food to people experiencing homelessness during their surveying.
Volunteers will be required to complete a virtual training prior to January 28. Survey and QR links will be available on the day of the event.
For this event, the team will be meeting at Thornton Community Connections at 9471 Dorothy Blvd. Volunteers will be provided outreach locations, supplies, and outreaching information to aid them during their surveying. Volunteers will be asked to drive to different locations where possible on the map and walk through trails/open space.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear and be comfortable walking and/or standing for your shift. Bring water and snacks.
