More about me:
I am very honored to be part of the RMP team. I started working with RMP in 2021 while I was with the City of Aurora, and have come to greatly appreciate the work RMP does and recognize the impact this organization can have on local municipalities. I am a first generation Mexican-American, born and raised in North Denver, and am fluent in Spanish. I have an MBA with a focus on Strategic Management, an Undergraduate Degree in Applied Psychology from Regis University, as well as a certificate in Human Services.

Over the last 20 years, I have served as a public servant in a number of positions in the Metro area that have included working within the Victim Advocacy, Educational, Social Services and Criminal Justice fields. During this time, I have provided advocacy to a number of victims of crime and responded to large scale incidents such as the Las Vegas Shooting in 2017. I have developed and facilitated programming that has included collaborations with diverse groups of stakeholders to develop multi-faced programming to address the impact of youth violence, gaps in services and gang association and/or affiliation. My direct services to children, youth and families has included providing mental health, and trauma informed services. Also, I have had the opportunity to work with kin and foster providers, and within local school systems to either provide political advocacy and engagement to caregivers.

Lastly, I have served as a leader in a number of programs and have had the opportunity to oversee teams, volunteer and youth groups. Further, I have developed strategic plans, resource allocation and programming efforts that have led to successfully serving a number of local communities. It has been a privilege to support a number of DEI efforts within a number of organizations and lead several community mobilization activities to improve the quality of life of residents in targeted communities. Overall, I truly enjoy making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
