Understanding What Already Exists

A person’s ability to earn a skill or credential is critical to their ability to support themselves and their families. But the ability to attain a skill or credential is impacted by so much more than what happens inside the learning and training environment.

The Backbone Team is supporting Partners to identify assets that currently exist to help paint the picture of where work is currently having an impact, where there are gaps in services that need to be filled, and what action they can take to fill these gaps.

This page outlines information gathered to date. The process of capturing assets is ongoing, and this list will grow as the Partnership learns more about what is currently available! Check back frequently.

The following programs (identified to date) support community members throughout our region to earn an in-demand credential, skill, or degree that should lead them to earn a self-sufficient wage and drive the needs of the economy.

Navigation and Case Management Programs & Services

Critical to a person’s ability to earn a skill or credential is having a support system in place to guide their journey inside and outside of the learning environment. Navigation providers connect community members to wraparound services, educational programs, and workforce opportunities (including work-based learning).
