Stuart Middle School, in School District 27J, has received national attention from our national affiliate, StriveTogether, for boosting school achievement by incorporating continuous improvement and student voice. After applying continuous improvement methodology within the classroom, Stuart increased their 8th Grade Math scores from 8% met/exceeded grade level expectations in 2016 to 23% in 2017. This is a 14% increase! They also beat the state average of 21%. Moreover, Stuart was designated as a Performance School within the state School Performance Framework for the first time in school history!
