The Denver Foundation Nonprofit Internship Program

In the summer of 2017, The Denver Foundation will place at least 14 well-qualified students into paid internship opportunities with partnering nonprofit community organizations.

Selected students will:

  • Receive $12 per hour for an average of 30-35 hours per week for 10 weeks
  • Enhance community leadership skills
  • Gain real-world work experience
  • Broaden their understanding of the nonprofit community and issues addressed
  • Address issues of racial, ethnic, and economic equity
  • Connect with other students that share the same interests in giving back
  • Have fun!

To be eligible, you need to:

  • Be an undergraduate student attending a 2- to 4-year college or university in pursuit of your first Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Attend college in one of the seven counties of Metro Denver (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson), OR be a permanent resident of one of Metro Denver’s seven counties while going to school elsewhere
  • Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • Have completed at least 12 credits, or the equivalent of one semester of college

Students from diverse backgrounds (students of color, men, LGBTQ+ students, students with different abilities, low income students, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply.
