Collective Work Asset Center
Building On Our Community’s Strengths
Collective work doesn’t need to happen from scratch. There are so many incredible efforts already happening in our community, state, and country that can be leveraged, scaled, and coordinated to have a great and efficient impact.
Asset-based community development relies on a core belief that good things exist in communities and that those things can be highlighted and encouraged — these are assets suited to advancing communities. For example, we can track assets — funding opportunities, community priorities, and more — related to the unprecedented funding flowing in from the American Rescue Plan Act. See more about this effort at the bottom of this page!

The Benefits of Asset Mapping
Benefits For Community Partners Doing Collective Work
Mapping assets supports understanding what people, programs/services, funding and resources, policies, associations, entities and institutions that exist in a community and how they can be leveraged and built upon to improve community well-being. It supports collective work to focus and build on what’s working so decisions are not being made in silos or strategies developed from scratch.
The RMP Backbone Team has worked with Partners to accumulate assets that support their collective work. To see what programs and services are currently available that have been gathered to date, click the respective work area on the navigation bar on the left of this page.
Benefits For Community Members
Making programs and services publicly available for community members is critical for their ability to access and utilize the support they need.
