State Policy and Legislation Overview
In order to achieve economic and social mobility for all community members, the Partners understand that sustainable, systemic change will be required at all levels of government.
Systemic change is defined as change that pervades all parts of a system, taking into account the interrelationships and interdependencies among those parts. In order to truly achieve this level of change, the Partnership saw that intervention in policy and legislative work at all levels of government would be essential.
By monitoring the Colorado state legislature, local governing bodies, and emerging federal policies that impact the Partnership’s areas of collective work, in addition to actionizing around barriers lifted by other leadership tables within the Partnership through a policy lens, the PLAN seeks to identify and actionize policy change to improve economic and social mobility for all community members.
The PLAN seeks to identify policies, legislation, and funding allocation that can be impacted and/or developed at ALL levels of government (organizational, municipal, county, regional, state, and federal) in order to improve social and economic mobility for all community members. More specific targets will be set in the future with regards to policy and legislative work by the PLAN; stay tuned!
