Thank you to all of our Guests, Table Captains, Volunteers, and Sponsors for helping to make our 3rd Annual Catalyst for Change Breakfast a success!
With your support we raised almost $47,000 for ACYI and our LIFT Fund.
The event, held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Conference Center in Thornton, welcomed over 300 attendees who gathered in support. Attendees included dozens of elected officials and dignitaries and representation from across the public, education, and private sectors.
The event kicked off with a special presentation of colors by the Westminster High School Air Force JROTC Cadets. Gregg Moss, President/CEO of the Metro North Chamber-Colorado, served as the Master of Ceremonies, and remarks included Becky Hoffman, ACYI CEO; Megan Madden, ACYI TEGA; Elizabeth Martinez, ACYI TEGA; Emma Pinter, ACYI Board of Directors Vice Chair; Latife Bulur Kowalski, North America Master Black Belt with Cummins Inc.; and Randy Roberts, ACYI Board of Directors Chair.
The program also featured ACYI’s Technology Enabled Girl Ambassador (TEGA) Program.TEGAs are girls aged 18-24 who are trained to conduct research via a mobile application. Girl Effect (an international non-profit) designed the app so girls can become digital interviewers, collecting real-time data about their communities in the form of audio, videos and photos, as well as traditional survey data.
